The intense battle before Michael chandler, last Saturday (o2), yielded profits for Eddie Alvarez. In addition to regaining the Bellator lightweight belt, the American also earned the biggest salary of the 106th edition of the show. The California Athletic Commission, the entity that sanctioned the event, disclosed the scholarships paid to the fighters and Alvarez earned US$ 160 thousand, around R$360 thousand.
In the other two Bellator 106 title fights, the salaries were more modest. Emanuel Newton, who won King mo via unanimous decision and won the interim light heavyweight title, taking away US$20. The new featherweight champion, Daniel Straus, who took the featherweight title from Pat Curran, pocketed US$40.
Among the Brazilians at the show, Cleber Luciano and Cristiano Souza each pocketed US$6. They surpassed Joe Camacho and Alejandro Garcia, respectively.
