the card of UFC 276 suffered a major absence with exactly one week remaining until the event. The duel between Miesha Tate e Lauren Murphy, in the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg), was removed from the event. The cancellation of the fight was confirmed by Ultimate during the broadcast of UFC Las Vegas 57, last Saturday (25).
According to information from the North American “ESPN”, Lauren Murphy had to leave the card for undisclosed reasons. This is the second time that the flyweight fight has been cancelled. Originally, they were going to face each other on May 14th. The UFC has not yet revealed whether the fight will be rescheduled or permanently cancelled.

The duel against Lauren Murphy would mark the debut of Miesha Tate at flyweight. Former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg), the veteran is coming off a defeat to the Brazilian Ketlen Scallop in November.
Lauren Murphy, in turn, comes from a defeat to the champion Valentina Shevchenko in a title fight UFC 266, in September 2021. Before that, the 38-year-old athlete scored five consecutive victories.
Without the duel between Tate and Murphy, the UFC 276 takes place next Saturday (2), at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, United States. The event features two title fights, with Israel adesanya defending the middleweight title (up to 83,9 kg) against Jared Cannonier e Alexander Volkanovsky (up to 65,7 kg) defending the featherweight belt in a trilogy against Max Holloway.
