Tragedy in the world of fights. Former muay thai champion Dokmaipa Por Pongsawang died in Thailand after being bitten by a centipede. The athlete was 52 years old.

The case took place in Kalasin province. According to the former champion's daughter, Jiraporn Moonkaset, her father had refused to seek care and only went to the hospital when the situation was already critical.

Jiraporn reported that Dokmaipa was stung on his left leg and, after the incident, he experienced symptoms such as chills and dizziness.

The director of the hospital center, Pramuan Thaingamsilp, stated that when Pongsawang arrived for treatment, days after the bite, the situation was irreversible. The athlete had a serious blood infection, which resulted in his death after falling into a coma.
