Escalated to face Vitor belfort in the second most important fight of UFC Rio 3, an event that takes place on October 13th, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, Alan belcher was left without an opponent with the announcement of the confrontation between Belfort and Jon Jones at UFC 152.
However, Belcher, who recently knocked out Rousimar Toquinho demonstrated interest in the fight against Chris Weidman, who ran over Mark Muñoz and had his request for a title shot denied by Anderson Silva, who claimed to have other plans for the moment.
"Chris Weidman, I think this fight makes sense”, wrote Belcher on Twitter, adding: "If he is the number one contender? I don't know that, but I think he's definitely up there.”
